Maj. Jerzy Pruszyński
Maj. (2020) Jerzy Pruszyński, born 1932. In 1950, he joined the anti-communist independence organization called “Orlęta Warszawy” (eagle chicks of Warsaw) operating in the capital. He took part in acquiring and storing weapons and ammunition and distributed leaflets. He was arrested and sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment by the Military District Court in Warsaw. As part of the amnesty, his sentence was reduced to five years. President of the Association of Young Political Prisoners “Jaworzniacy.”
